2010 California Community College Sophomore Showcase Powered by Under Armour

Sophomore showcase continues to be a popular event for California Community College players and 4 year coaches!

The 2010 Sophomore Showcase was a big success, as over 150 players from both the South and North Men and Women made their way to College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita Saturday December 4, 2010. The 2010 Sophomore Showcase sponsored by Under Armour was held in conjunction with the 2010 California State Championships at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA. For the second year in a row, this yearÕs event was sponsored by Under Armour.

The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for California Community College players to be seen by 4 year coaches and transfer to the 4 year level. The event is comprised of sophomore eligible, 1st and 2nd team all conference players. The games are played North vs. South and each team is composed of 44 (40 field players and 4 goalkeepers) from all of California. The new format of four 45 minute periods guarantees each player 45 minutes of play.

We have established a link on the ccsoccernews.com web site with photos and individual player profiles for each participant.

There were over 50 four year college coaches for both Men and Women from all over California and out of state, including as far away as Florida.
